She was built and launched in Nantes in 1896, the Belem is the last great French sailing ship of the nineteenth century still sailing. It was converted into a British yacht in 1914, toured the world with the famous brewer Arthur-Ernest Guiness, and then the Italian pavilion to become French again in 1979.
Classified as a historic monument since 1984, this magnificent three-master is today a civilian training vessel that can accommodate 48 sailors supervised by 16 crew members
At the moment in the port of Antibes, can be visited on Saturday and Sunday 22 and 23 September 2018, ticket 6€ per person.
